Caraway mayor laments lack of funds

Caraway Mayor Bo James expressed his disappointment Thursday evening that the city had not received the much-needed water well grant from the Delta Regional Authority, as hoped. The city was awarded a $200,000 grant earlier this year from Arkansas Community and Economic Development Program to drill a new well and repair leakage in the detention tank. Total cost to complete the job is $527,000 so the city will need to borrow $327,000 or apply for additional grants...
