Mrs. Shelby Tice

Mrs. Shelby Tice, 75, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at her home.

She was born in Wilstacy, Kentucky to Nick and Faye (Southers) Dunaway. Shelby was a retired civil service secretary and the secretary and sales representative for Hubbard and Hoke Furniture, and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She loved to travel and shop, and was an avid reader. Shelby was a devoted mother, grandmother and a very giving person.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Tice; and her parents.

Shelby leaves her daughter, Rebecca Tice Cooper (Rodney) of Dell; brothers, Lloyd Dunaway (Virginia) of Dayton, Ohio, Jasper Dunaway (Gerri) of Berea, Kentucky, Nick Dunaway (Sue) of Richmond, Kentucky, Larry Dunaway of Richmond, Kentucky, and Jimmy Dunaway of Richmond, Kentucky; sisters, Deana Cobb (Doug) of Richmond, Kentucky, Sandra Novabilski (Frankie) of Louisville, Kentucky, Lois Bertram of Louisville, Kentucky, Anna Lee Fox (Marion) of Bybee, Kentucky, Paula Rae Portwood (Gannett) of Waco, Kentucky, Patricia Joyce Henson (Hank) of Richmond, Kentucky, Irene Allen of California, Kentucky, and Lynn Curtis (Tom) of Richmond, Kentucky; grandson, Branden Cooper; "adopted granddaughter", Rachel Fulford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 18 at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Silvey officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at Fairview Baptist Church.
