Billy Gene Bennett

Mr. Billy Gene Bennett, 81, of Joiner passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017. Born November 13, 1935 in Bardstown, Arkansas to the late D. W. "Dub" and Ruby Bennett, he was a member of the Bassett Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include sons, Gene (Sally) Bennett, Dewayne (Pam) Bennett and Leslie Bennett;

Fourteen grandchildren;

Twenty-four great grandchildren;

Two great-great grandchildren;

Three sisters, Mary Sue Lynch, Beverly Renner and Patricia Handley; and

One brother, Dwight Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gail Bennett, his parents, daughter Evelyn Bennett and son Bryan Bennett.

Memorials can be made in the name of "Papaw Billy" to Rivercrest School Band or Athletics. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Roller-Swift Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow afterwards. Burial will be at Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner.
