L.D. Daniels

Mr. L.D. Daniels, 92, of Knoxville, Tennessee and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Autumn Care Assisted Living in Knoxville.

L.D. was born in Pottsville, Arkansas to Leonard and Hazel (Hoffstetter) Daniels. He retired from Case IH after 34 years with the company as the parts manager. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. L.D. was a member of Yarbro Baptist Church where he was a deacon and the Sunday school superintendent for many years. He was also a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

L.D. leaves his wife, Gail Watkins Daniels, of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughters, Sandra House and her husband Terry and Carol Moreno, all of Knoxville, Tennessee; brothers, Hayse Daniels of Jonesboro, J.D. Daniels of Topeka, Kansas, Harold Daniels of Moberly, Missouri, Billy Daniels of Osceola, and Bruce Daniels of Auburn, Alabama; sisters, Maxine Standridge of Tacoma, Washington and Mary Weidman of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Amber Wooten, Wes Long, Mandy Roscow, Abby Cross, and Sarah Moreno; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 8 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Russell and Rev. Rick Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.
