Harvey Mathis III, 76, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin passed away from this world on July 12, 2016 in Milwaukee. He was born on January 30, 1940 in Blytheville to Harvey Mathis II and Alberta Grant Mathis. He worked in the US Steel Mill and formerly lived in Blytheville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Mathis II and Alberta Grant Mathis;

Two sons, David Herrera and Guadalupe Leon;

Six brothers, Delmar, Samuel, David Sr., Benjamin Sr., Tommy and Jimmy Mathis.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Mathis of Milwaukee;

Three daughters, Kristie Mathis of Shakopee, MN, Ramona Rodriguez of Milwaukee, and Raelynn (Ruben) Aviles of Milwaukee;

Three sons, Mario (Kathy) Rodriguez of St. Petersburg, FL, Felix (Michelle) Rodriguez Jr. of Jonesboro, IN, and Juan (Stephanie) Rodriguez;

Two sisters, Virginia Richardson and Lynda (Melvin) Williams of Blytheville;

Three brothers, Nathaniel Mathis Sr. of St. Paul, MN, Lee Amos Mathis of Blytheville, and Charles (Linda) Mathis of Anchorage, Alaska;

Thirty-one grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The visitation will be on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10:00 am and will last until 11:30 a.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. The funeral will be on the same day at 12 p.m. after the visitation. The graveside will be on Memory Gardens Cemetery. The place of burial will be at the Memory Gardens Cemetery with Elder Melvin Williams serving as the officiating minister.
