Hershel Gray

Hershel Gray, 92, of Blytheville, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born to Hannah and Annie (Hearn) Gray, Hershel was a welder, at Thrall Car welding box cars in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was also an employee at ACCO in Blytheville. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. Mr. Gray was a member of Ruddle Road Church of God. He was a lifelong resident of Blytheville, and had pastored and preached in the area for many years. Hershel loved to fish.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie C. Gray; his parents; and brothers, Lester Gray, Sam Gray, Paul Gray, and Thurmon Gray.

Hershel is survived by his children, Doreen Gray of Blytheville, Philip Gray of Hardin, Ken., and Stephen Gray of Little Rock.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6th at 1:30 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Pankey officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
